S., State and Canners' Men At a meeting of l'opresentatives of the Utah Canners, tho National Canners Can-ners iind stato dairy, food and drug commissioner, Walter N. Boyden, held today In the offices of the Utah and National Canners' association, tho cooperation co-operation of the state in working with the two organizations in canning inspection in-spection work was perfected, according accord-ing to A. S. Dagget, director of In- spectlon for Utah of the National Canners' Can-ners' association. "The state will in every way co-operate with us," said Dagget, "and in the future inspections starting next Monday will bo made evory day in every cannery in the state, regardless of location. Our men will start their dally Inspections next week and with the stale officials aiding us In this work and in obtaining better products in canned goods for tho people." The meeting was conducted by A. S. Dagget and the following were In attendance: at-tendance: Walter N. Boydon, food commissioner of Utah: A. S. Dagget, George Shorten, William Terry, Dr. C. C. Pugmlre, Thomas Fsnton, William G. Barton, H. D. Ol3en, H. L. Herring-ton Herring-ton and President Gago Rodman of the Utah Canners' association. The local organization of the national canners' can-ners' organization will hold inspections throughout the state for all brands of canned goods. Mr. Dagget announced today thai Leslie Smith, formerly associated with the Utah Canning company, will have charge of the new laboratories to be opened here In the near future. oo |
