The hand had been a. troublesome factor from tho day Martin started training. He hadn't learned how to hit yet and he begun swatting his colored col-ored sparring partner around ln tho training bouts. He cracked the hand on the eve of his debut into the professional pro-fessional ranks. After that he used the left almost exclusively in sending liis opponents to the canvas. Now the hand seems better than ever, and the fans can get somp true idea of how good tho big soldier boy is. Tho hand must be right or Jimmy Bronson would not have lined up such a vigorous schedule of fights once r twice a week right up to the not weather. His opponents, starting with tho Spike McFadden bout at Huntington. Hunting-ton. April 15, Include Ted Jamleson, a return scrap with Sergeant Ruy Smith. Jack Qeyer, Dick O'Brien and probably Gene Tunney. Bronson may take him to tho coast for bouts n Portland, Seattle and California cltlea. JUis more than likely that on July 4 Martin will meet Gene Tunney. of Akron, although a bout with Martin Burke, the big New Orleans, Or-leans, boy, is being talked of. If Martin was good enough 'o knock out 10 or 12 with only one hau l working, what will he do with both hands? That remains to bo seen. Work has piled up since he was lnci-paclLited lnci-paclLited and Bronson is having r;o troublo keeping him busy.
