Show Feigned Insanity in Ogden; Held on Coast After having been held in the county coun-ty Jail hero for ten days in the early part of March on a charge of vagrancy while an investigation was being made as to his sanity, and released March 13, Charles Lerach has been arrested at Sacramento, Cal upon a federal warrant, according to reports. The Information was received by the sheriff's sher-iff's department from A. J. Ronoe, special agent in charge of the criminal Identification bureau at Leavenworth, Kan., who had received the fingerprints finger-prints from Sacramento During the time Lerach was held in tho county Jail hl3 aotions, while pretending Insanity, wore closely observed ob-served by the officers. It was decided upon Investigation that Lerach was not insane, but was feigning in order to conceal some allege'd crime, lie was released hero after serving ten days for vagrancy. Deputy Sheriff Dick Wootton sent Lerach's fingerprints finger-prints to Mr. Renoe, who sont tho following letter; "For your Information on your No. 7 will say: Charles Lerach, No. $920, was arrested at Sacramento, Cal., March H, 1920, on a charge of burglary bur-glary on federal warrant. Taken to county jail." |
