Show I Old Potatoes at Top Price Bring Around Eight Cents Per Pound With old potatoes retailing- nt $S n hundred pounds, retail at $7 a hundred wholesale, little relief of the potato t situation is expected before the now spud crop begins to move in sufficient quantities to alleviate the demand, according ac-cording to H. C. Hudson, manager of the Ogdon Commission company. Mr. Hudson stated that the first shipment of new potatoes arrived in i Ogden today from California. A moderate moder-ate supply has arrived hero, the wholesale whole-sale price of the new potatoes, IS cents a pound, being prohibitive. He stated that within the next two weeks, weather conditions permitting, the California crop should be moving in sufficient quantities to relieve the situation to some, extent. "The law of supply and demand is i responsible for the present condition ! oi potatoes," Mr. Hudson stated.
