C. R. Gamer of Ogden as community director of tho jntcrchurch world movement for Ogden Og-den and Weber county. Rev. Garvcr has been in Ogden four years. Rev. Garvcr acted as commercial salesman for a time. He spent a few years in tho ministry. His voice having hav-ing failed him. he sought a livelihood liveli-hood in the business world and chose the work of a traveling salesman during dur-ing tho llmo that his voice was recuperating. re-cuperating. Rev. Garvcr Is a graduate of the Gem City college with a master's degree. de-gree. He has also comploted the work in tho University of Illinois. Denver university and the Illff school of theology. He al30 did post-graduate work in the department of philosophy phil-osophy of education in the Colorado state normal school. Tho first of a series of county conferences con-ferences for the interchurch world movement will open in Ogden Thursday Thurs-day at 9:30 a. m. in tho First Baptist church. There will be five of these conferences held In Utah in behalf of this movement. The plan of these conferences will be to have addresses at the morning session by a number of prominent pastors and laymen. The afternoon Sessions will bo given over to denominational discussion of tho problems for each denomination. The evening session will be given over to an illustrated lecture with a number of slides setting forth tho survey of I the interchurch movement. These ( conferences havo been arranged by State Secretary A. G. Alderman who ' has been here for six or eight months conducting the field survey of Utah for the Interchurch world movement. The following is tho program and the speakers: Dr. J. H. X. Williams will conduct tho presentation of the evangelical program. Ij. A. Garrison, to outline the financial finan-cial campaign and to instruct delegates dele-gates concerning its conduct In the minutest detail. Rev. Clem Davies to make the composite com-posite address on the department activities ac-tivities of tho interchurch world movement. Dr. William M. Paden, to make an address illustrated with lantern slides on a complete world survey. Rov. W. L. Mclllngcr, to give an address with tho lantern for young people. ' Rov. Chester A. Syndcr, to give a foreign survey. Dr. J. Sherman Wallace, to give a home survey, including' county surveys. sur-veys. Delegates from Weber.
