Show U.S. OTTO AID GIN MEN H. K. Holman Jr. of Department Depart-ment of Agriculture at the Healy Hotel to Meet Dealers For the purpose of assisting grain doalers who desire to become licensed under tho United States warehouso act, II. K. Holman, Jr., who is from tho department of agriculture at Washington, D. C, and attached to tho bureau of markets will meet with dealers today and tomorrow at the New Healy hotel. Mr. Holman will make out the necessary forms and givo any Information concerning the act which may bo desired. The warehouso act, which is not mandatory, was enacted with a view of bringing about uniformity of warehouse ware-house receipts and standardizing warehouse practice, Mr. Holman said, so that I he operation of every warehouse ware-house which becomes licensed will ho uniform and the sundry advantages contingent thereto will be rofleoted alike to each member warehouso regardless re-gardless of its location. The central purpose of this act, he said, is to make it .possible to issue a warehouse receipt re-ceipt for grain that is stored, which 13 such reliable evidence of the ownership, own-ership, quantity and quality. of the grain that the receipt may be easily and widely negotiable at best discount rates. Mr. Holman added that because his lime in Ogden is limited," he will not bo able to call upon all grain men in this center but will gladly moot those who are interested in provisions of the act and its accruing benefits. |
