His statement: "Taxpayer? cf Ogden City and Weber county please take notice. If' the citizens of this cily and county will aid the officials in the assessment and collections of taxes and comply fairly and justly with tho now law, much expense and trouble will be avoided. "If it were not for the tax dodgers and unfair methods manifest in dealing deal-ing with our field deputies, this now lnw would not have been necessary, "The only ones who make a fuss about the new order of things are those who fail to carry their portion of the tax burden, in some cases it may be necessary to make charges against a few and have them answer to the law. We are here to do our duty and propose protecting our field men, they arc state officials and duly authorized to take values and collect money on all personal properly where the owners holds no real estate. "Our men arc out in this city and county working and are all under bonds to do their faithful duty, and all honorable people will receive them wtih courtesy and give them the information infor-mation they seek. "We have so-called citizens who are reaping all the benefits of tho goodly land and the state is paying $25 or $30 each year for ench child they send to ;. s school, and if they are assessed $100 B for personal property equalling $2 Gl ' tax they lrowl like wild animals.
