The at-Titmlc at-Titmlc of the sheepmen, is a direct reversal re-versal of their stand somjstcn years ago, when the jurisdiction of ranges by forest service representatives was looked upon as ah imposition. " The attitude or the Wool growers' association is shown by tho following resolution: "Whereas, the sheep growing industry in-dustry of the United States Is dependant depend-ant largely upon the proper and efficient effi-cient administration of the grazing lands within the national forests; and Z "Whereas, men of 'high quality and 3ilh a knowledge of range conditions ;and requirements are necessary to ;proporly administer the said grazing Jands; and - "Whereas, the United States forost service has lost, and will continue to lose, their most valuable men cn account ac-count of the inadequate salaries paid by the service; and -""Whereas, the loss of such men is a loss keenly felt by tho slockgrowers; therefore, bo it - "Resolved, that wo urgently ask our representatives In congress to secure the enactment or the necessary legislation legis-lation to provide adequate compensation compensa-tion for the employes of the forest service, which will Justify nun now in ihe forest service remaining in their present positions and will encourage suitable men to enter tho forest service serv-ice in the fuiure." oo |
