Show MYSTERIOUS MURDER IS ARGUMENT FOS STREET LAMP Calling tho attention of the city com- mission to tho fact that recently a man was murdered In the vicinity of Nye avenue and Twenty-ninth street, residents in that district petitioned the commission to have an arc light installed at the corner. The request was granted. Mayor Francis explained that the place was in need of what protection a light affords Inasmuch as it Is the "Jumping off place" for the rough element ele-ment that enters the city on railroad trains. The appointment of W. F. Reld aa dog tax collcotor for the city by Mayor Francis was confirmed. An ordinance prepared by th health, dopartmcnt with the object of forcing rooming house and apartment .house owners to furnish a slated minimum mini-mum heat to tenants during certain hours, was submitted for action by the commissioners. Commissioner Ward stated that It was inadvisable to pass such an ordinance at the present pres-ent -time, owing to tho many complications. compli-cations.
