ATTRACTS ATTENTION f II OTHER STATES The steps taken by the Utah department depart-ment of education to include In its work the Modern Health Crusade have attracted attention in other states, as evidenced by the latest Inquiry received receiv-ed concerning this work.' Miss Helen M. Hall, crusade execu-' live for the Oklahoma Tuberculosis as-' sociation, has written to John W. Jac obs of the Utah Public Health Associa tion asking for full details of the work ' of the state education system In this, regard. Her letter follows: "It has been brought to my notice! that the Modern Health Crusade has . been adopted Into tho school curricu-j lum of your state. It is my ambition t to achieve that in this state, and r am sure that you will bo able lo help mo very greatly by writing me just what steps were taken to secure this. I shall bo pleased to learn about the results re-sults obtained." New Mexico has also written for the Utah plan In the past few days. The fact that the crusade has been special-1 Ized in one grade only, the sixth, has I aroused a great deal of comment in j the other states and Utah will bo very closely, watched this year In the carrying carry-ing out of this program. From all portions of the state the Utah Public Health association Is re- ceivlng requests for the film, "The Modern Health Crusade," which is being be-ing used to help the program of the sixth grade. The film has been shown in several school districLs and Sundav was exhibited, with a talk at Vernal. Panguitch, Kanab and other places have asked for Its use.
