PLAN TO 016 ELK TO STOCK FOOESTS OE UTAH The bringing of wild elk to stock various parts of Utah, from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, has been taken up by State Game Commissioner R H. Sid-doway. Sid-doway. It Is believed to be practical! to ship the elk from Jackson Hole to stock the Cache national forests near Logan, in the headwater.; of the Weber We-ber and Provo rivers and other parts of central and southern Utah. Despite deep snows, elk in Wyoming have so prospered that they are at present crowding each other on avail able ranee, it is said and the transfei of the animals lo Utah would be of double benefit. Commissioner Siddowav while at 'he forest service, told of a contemplat ed meeting of gamt wardens of adjoining ad-joining states, including Colorado. Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and Idaho and Wyoming, which will be held in Salt Lake this winter. The question of organizing an inter-mountain fish and game club, with the view of game protection, will probably be brought up. 00
