Here is a part of the story as it comes from New-Carlisle New-Carlisle "The firacle man is Billy Mays 29 years of age and was born on a farm near Clearfield, Penn. No other member of his family had ever shown signs of this mysterious myster-ious power. He had worked as common laborer and had also taken up pugilism. He said once he had gained a decision in a f:ght with Gunboat Smith. During the war he worked in tho shipyards and could rivet 1700 bolts a day. He had never employed his powers pow-ers to make a Jlvinc before at though he had used them for amusement and friendly favors. Today hundreds com'1 ov train and automobile for the magic touch from those nudy pqlms that remove pain and disease, old Doctor Waynick w is almost helpless with rheumatism and paralysis He had been in inva lid for 28 months, and it was said his days were few in nun:ber. "Where do you feel the orst" I Mays asked. The question is quite habitual with him now. Y ithout removing any clo'hing whatever the young nun applied his hands, rubbing gently, but firmly. A new spar of light came into the old man's t'.roI eyes. A smile came over his faer. "I can't believe it. Never heard of such a thing," exclaimed the-doctor. the-doctor. But he felt Ilk stirring himself He felt thrilled with a pulse of growing vigor. There wa a tincling sensation thrt permeated perme-ated like oil from the hands of tho miracle man. "This is wonderful' I can be cured' What Is happening I can not explain, but I am coming to life again," he exclaimed over and over again. There were so many peoplf- who wanted to be treated in the vicinity vicin-ity of New Carlisle that the business busi-ness men of the town got tog.her and bough an old brick mansion, which they now call a sanitarium. Architects are working cn a plan for a new hotel to accommodate the crowds that are coming fron. neighboring states and even trom foreign countries to be healed by the miracle man. Today outside the sanitarium was a line of people, some ith crutches and others being borne on (hairs and stretcher. The reception re-ception hall was filled with people sitting on small chairs. At the left was a parlor, crowded to oversowing. oversow-ing. All eyes were turned to the portieres that hid the dining room from view. What is the power of the "miracle man"? When tho whole story is told we venture to say it will bo found that publicity and faith worked the cures. oo |
