Show THANKSGIVING TEA By ELEANOR GLOVER Thanksgiving is the festival that brings wanderers back to the "old folks at home," and to those who have no homes will come invitations to various va-rious affairs which are being made reads- just on purpose to add am-th. i reason for being grateful Now, I want to tell you all about the preparations for a tea for ihe afternoon af-ternoon of this purely American festival fes-tival day. The decorations will be most characteristically patriotic, with festoons of flags and shades of red. white and blue crppe paper There will be cranberry frappe. nnd let MC tell you that ice cream flavorel and colored with cranberry sauce ;s delicious. de-licious. Hot spiced cider or rider frappe may be served and sandwiches of mineed turkey Here is a 1 eeipe for pumpkin Chips w hich may he used in pljfljp of orange marmalade with toast, and every one will sa 'What a delicious conserve!" Select a deep ihued pumpkin peel and slice verv thin; to each pound of chips nod a pouod of sucar and a cup of lemon juice with the grated rind. Stir well and let this stand over night, (,'ook cry slowly until tender, skim the chips, let them stand two days to get firm, then pu' ihem in a jar with Just enough sirup to keep moist.
