Show CALL MADE TO Si EVERYTHING OF VALUE Tho watchword for the people of Weber County during the fall days is to be the "addition to the new by the picking up of the old." That is, that will be the watchword, if the conservation conser-vation department of tho Red Cross shop has anything to do with the watchword. The call is going out today to-day to all; the branches and auxiliaries in the county to form committees for the picking up of all the old iron, tin, rubber, bottles, paper, cloth, and es- pecially the rarer metals like brass, copper and the like. The Red Cross people think there are quantities of these old materials lying about some of the farms and if the boys of the county can be set to work collecting them for the Red Cross there will be decided resulis. The same vork is to be pushed in the city. There are quantities of paper, pa-per, iron, cloth and bottles unnumbered unnumb-ered scattered all over the byways and garrets and cellars of Ogden and it Is to be the work of the Red Cross conservation con-servation boys and girls as well as for the men and women to get all these commodities and telephone the Red Cross shop to come and get them. Tho collection will commence about the twentieth of this month. Will the people of the county and city get ready for it? Will the boys and girls; of Ogden and all Weber County commence com-mence looking about for the articles above mentioned and for any other things that can bo remade or sold for conservation.
