Show oo Deaths and Funerals CH RISTENSEN The funeral of Carl E. Christenseu was held yesterday yester-day at 2 p. ra. in tho Ninth ward meeting meet-ing house. Bishop W. O. Ridges officiated. of-ficiated. Tho speakers were Bishop E. A. Olsen, Carl E. Peterson, and Bishop Bish-op Ridges. Music was furnished by Miss Myrtle Hlgley, "Rock of Ages," Mrs. Mary Farley, "Not Half Has Ever Been Told" and "Abide With Mo," and Gus Saunders, who sang "Lead Kindly Light." The pallbearers were members of the Elks' lodge. The lodge men attended in n body. There was an abundance of beautiful flowers. flow-ers. The interment was in Ogden city cemetery. WILSON William Henry Wilson, an employe of the Union Pncific at Echo, Utah, passed away this morning at 2 o'clock after seven dnys' illness of pneumonia. He was born in Vandalia, Mo., September 4. 1891, and hns been a resident of Echo for the past twelve years during which time he has been an employe of the Union Pacific. Besides Be-sides his parents, William S. and Susan Su-san Wilson, a brother, Frank T. Wilson, Wil-son, survives. The brother Is now in France with the American expeditionary expedition-ary forces. The father is also an employe em-ploye of tho Union Pacific at Echo. Funeral services will bo held Monday at 2 p. m. with but brief services at the grave. Floral offerings may be loft at the Llndqulst chapel until 9 a. m. Sunday and will be taken to the Wilson home. SMOUT- The funeral of Faye Smout was held yesterday afternoon in tho Slaterville meeting house. A quar- - - u tet composed of Flora Stokes, F. Stokes, Cora Cowan and Jennie Wheelwright Wheel-wright sang "I Know My Hetivenly Father Knows." Cora Cowan and Cora Stokes sang a duet, "Shine On" and George Manning sang a solo, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives." The speakers were Patriarch Nathan J. Hawkes and Henry P. Hawley. Interment Inter-ment was In Ogden city cemetery. oo |
