After a conference with President Ruppert and Manager Hugglns of the Now York American league baseball club here today, Roger Peckinpaugh. shortstop short-stop and captain of tho team, signed a contract for the coming season. Peckinpaugh Peck-inpaugh came here from Cleveland to discuss a salary gr!evanco, and, it was announced, obtained a compromise. Manager McGraw of the New York Nationals sent word from St. Louis lo the club officials that he had obtained tho signatures of Pitcher William Perritt Per-ritt and Shortstop Arthur Fletcher, both of whom had been holding out. Outfielders Robertson and Thorpe aro the only players who havo not reached an agreement with the club. The New York Americans signed Outfielder Elmer Miller and Pitcher Herbert Thormahlon here today.
