Show U. S. EMPLOYMENT SERVICE. WASHINGTON, March 5. Permanent Perma-nent organization of tho United States employment seryicc as one of tho eight now services in the labor department, de-partment, was announced yesterday by Secretary Wilson. The number of assistant directors is reduced from two to ono and a new division for training the personnel of tho service has been added. Tho division of Investigation is abolished and a policies board established, estab-lished, consisting of Director J. B. Donsmore, Assistant director Charles T. Clayton and Assistant Secretary of Labor Post. , W. B. E. Hall, of Pennsylvania, In chief of the division of reserves; Hilda Mulhauser Davis of Ohio, is chief of the women's divisions; T. V. Pow-derly Pow-derly of Pennsylvania, is chief of the division of Information, administration and clearance; A. L. Barkman of Missouri, Mis-souri, is chief of tho farm labor division; divi-sion; Nathan A. Smith of New York, is secretary of the policies board, and Miss A. Viola Smith of California bo-comes bo-comes assistant chief of tho woman's division. |
