Show RUSCHMANN HELD AS I. W. W. LEADER SALT LAKE, March 5. By tho internment in-ternment of Anton nuachmann at the war prison barracks at Fort Douglas, it is believed that one of tho most dangerous I. W. W. conspirators and enemy aliens will bo under the control of the government for at least tho period per-iod of tho war. Ruschmann was prominent during tho I. W. W. troubles at Seattle several months ago and fled from that placo to escape deportation at the hands of law abiding -working men From Seattle the career of Ruschinann has been traced to Butte, where he took a leading lead-ing part In attempting to organize the miners into a federation which was refused recognition by tho Federation Fed-eration of Labor, and failing there he went to Arizona on a disturbing mission mis-sion and was run out of several of the mining camps. In Salt Lako Ruschmann has been a disturbing factor, although he never came into promlnenco except to the extent of villifylng tho government. Ho was caught In the dragnet last Friday when he appeared at police headquarters demanding' his registrn- i tion card. Investigation had established estab-lished the fact that ho had falsified in replying to the questions on his registration blank, and his arrest followed. fol-lowed. rr |
