Show STUDENTS TO ENGAGE IN POSTER CONTEST SALT LAKE, March 5. To increase interest in the thrift stamp campaign among school students of tho country, a national poster competition in behalf be-half of thrift and war savings stamps and war gardens has been inaugurated by the national war savings committee. commit-tee. J. Leo Fairbanks of Salt Lako has been appointed director of this competition com-petition in Utah, and tho schools throughout the city and state are being enrolled in tho competition. The national na-tional commltteo figures that art may bo used to holp win the war, and they have chosen this method of utilizing it. Children in tho schools throughout the country are asked to vitalize their art work by using their ingenuity and ability in tho campaign and tho war garden movement. Parents and teachers teach-ers are urged to co-operate in every way with the students In this important impor-tant work. Prizes aro to be awarded for tho best posters submitted, and thero will bo prizes also for the best "cute sayings," say-ings," axioms, slogans, rhymes, jingles and puns.
