Show Y. M. C: A. (ITS " DO GREAT WORK Americans Play Prominent Parts in Retreats East and West of Soissons. PARIS, June 6 American men and women attached Lo the Y. M. C. A. units with the French army played prominent parts in the retre;it ea.si and wet of Soissons ''arl Lyltle of North Brookfield, Mass., is believed to have sacrificed his life. Lyttle is officially reported missing. Amid a rain ol gas shells he went into a certain burning burn-ing village to rescue refugees after the troops had come out and has not been seen since. Y M C A workers stayed with the troops during the rear guard fighting, gathering and distributing supplies. Women workers particularly distinguished distin-guished themselves. Miss Maria Her-ron Her-ron of New York, a sister-in-law of former President Taft, remained in a mn serving food and collVr to the soldiers sol-diers until the village was sot on fire bj German shells.
