Show lJU THREE PERSONS DIES IN MISSOURI TORNADO ESSEX. Mo . ' April 2 Three per-I per-I rons were killed and twelve injured tonight to-night when a tornado, traveling in a northeast direction, struck Hunterville, I a small town three miles east of here. ; Gray-ridge, two miles further east, was also struck by the storm, but no lives are reported lost there. The storm struck the two towns shortly after 6 o'clock, demolishing many houses and destroying all means of wire communication with other cities in Stoddard county. The dead in Hunterville are Mrs. Edward Miles, an unidentified man and Charles Blevins. a 3-year-old boy. The number of injured was placed at twelve, with indications that this figure fig-ure would be added to as the wreck-age wreck-age is cleared away. Little is known of the result of the storm in Grayridge. except that prac-tically prac-tically all houses in the little town were swept away. |
