Show BOY SCOUTS ARE TO BE GIVEN MEDALS Twelve Boy Scouts of Troop B of Ogden will be presented with medals on Thursday evening at the city hall , in recognition of services rendered the , government during the past liberty loan campaign. Scoutmaster Robert, Wilson hat. announced that the medals will probably be presented the Scouts by a representative of the federal government, gov-ernment, whose name however has not yet been announced. Troop B Is said to be responsible for rtn approximate $16,000 out of liberty bonds sold in the recent drive. A message from L. B. Franklin, director, di-rector, of war loan organizations, praising the boys for their work, will be read at the meeting when the medals med-als are presented. Scoutmaster Wilson stated that aside from enviable records achieved In Liberty loan, Red Cross and' W. S. o. urivcs irom om j.roop"d, mere have gone to join the colors, 23 boys. The Boy Scouts to receive the awards Thursday evening are: Walter J. Wright, Thirty-third street; Luclan Ray, 2431 Adams avenue; Ralph Nye, 254C Jefferson avenue; James Royle, 3650 Adams avenue; Fred Chez, 818 Twenty-fourth street; Francis H. Wood, 2523 Jefferson avenue; Adel-bcrt Adel-bcrt Craven, 2530 Jefferson avenue; Albert Baker, Canada; Conrad Fcr-nelius, Fcr-nelius, 624 Thirteenth street; Montgomery Mont-gomery Woodruff, 2481 Van Bureau avenue; Elwood LIppincott, Plaza Apartments; Kenneth Hess, 761 j Twenty-fourth street. j On the face of the medal is the legend: "War Service" and "Every Scout to Save a Soldier." The reverse side bears tho recipient's recip-ient's name with the following; "Presented "Pre-sented on behalf of TJ. S. Treasury Department De-partment for Service in Liberty Loan Campaign." |
