Show NEVADA CONTEST FOR NOMINATION Loyalty of E. E. Roberts Made Issue in State Primary Election. RENO, Nov, Sept. 3 A contest for tthe Republican senatorial nomination In which an issue was made of the loyalty of E. E. Roberts, at present Nevada's representative in congress, is a feature of the primary election in Novada today. Walter C. Lamb, Republican, Re-publican, opposing Roberts, attacked Roberts' war record because of his vote on the McLcmore resolution and other war measures. Roberts conducted con-ducted no campaign. Senator Charlos ! B. Henderson is unopposed for the ' Democratic nomination. James D Finch and Charles R. Evans Ev-ans are opposing candidates for the Democratic congressional nomination land there is no contest in the Republican Repub-lican party, S. S. Downer being the only candidate. I For governor there arc four Demo-J Demo-J cratic and two Republican candidates. Governor Emmett D. Boyle, Democrat, seeks re-nomination and is opposed by George B. Thatcher, attorney-general; Sam Pickett and Ben D. Luce. Former Governor Tasker L. Oddie and William M. Kearney seek the Republican Re-publican nomination. Prohibition and anti-prohibition organizations or-ganizations each have full oxecutive I tickets in a majority of the counties. nri I |
