Show FOURTEEN YOUR WOMEN AS NURSES Fourteen young women applied yesterday yes-terday at the Carnegie free library for enrollment as reserve nurses to be used for war service. This district S has been allotted only nineteen so it is thought the quota will be filled with no trouble. The first to apply wns Miss Hazel Harnish and following her camo Lo-M Lo-M rano McConnell, Pearl Munsey, Amber i Howes, Grace Montgomery, Irene Briscoe, Bris-coe, Martha Underhill, Ida Smith, Fay Tribe, Francis Jestoe, Bessie Frazer and Eula Sunt. The office at the library was In charge of Miss Florence West, a nurse from the Deo hospital, and several Ogden women were in attendance as assistants during the day. The applicants best fitted for the work will be sent to a government training school while the remainder of the applicants will be employed in hospitals In training as nurses. |
