Pearson, ono of Ogden's well known young men leaves tonight for Camp Lewis, American Lake, as a recruit of the Twelfth Battery of Telegraphers, Tele-graphers, Company 3, which is a branch of tho signal service. Mr. Pearson will be in the field telephone division of the service. Mr. Pearson took examinations for the signal service of the army last April Ap-ril and successfully passed all of the tests. Ho was given his physical examination ex-amination a few days ago and passed that also. He ;s well qualiaed for work In tho telephone division of the signal service as he has had three years' experience ex-perience in various departments of the Mountain States Telephone and Telc-grarv Telc-grarv company and before that time occupied a position with the Utah Power Pow-er and Light company which trained him In general electrical work. Mr. Pearson since taking his examinations exam-inations In April, has been a member of the signal service reserve and tho orders to report to Washington Lake place him as a recruit of the regular service. Pie leaves tonight at midnight. |
