One pint skim milk, one-quarter cup flour, two level teaspoonfuls butter or cooking fat, one-half tcaspoonful salt Melt butter or' other fat in saucepan. Add flour and salt mixed. Blend. Add milk gradually. Heat, stirring constantly con-stantly until thick. Flavor if desired, with any leftover minced meat or fish which may be on hand, or minced ham or a slice of j broiled bacon, crumbled. Servo In boiled hominy, rice, potatoes, po-tatoes, macaroni or slices of corn or, other bread or toast. j |
