Show RECIPROCAL COURTESIES PLAN OF GOLF PLAYERS CHICAGO, Aug. 31. Gold enthusiasts, enthus-iasts, members of local cfubs, arc attempting at-tempting to work out the details of co-ordinating the clubs of the country coun-try in such a manner as to afford reciprocal re-ciprocal courtesies between the members mem-bers of the various clubs. The plan which it is hoped will be perfected would make the fact of membership in a club of one city open sesame to the privileges of a club of the same rank In another city on given days. Clubs would be graded as to dues, advantages and quality of course, and an out-of-town golfer would be welcome on presentation of his membership mem-bership card in his home club to the course of the ono in the city he was visiting, if the plan Is accepted na tlon-AVide. Luther Boone, also known as "Danny," who will be remembered as a Yankee of a few years back, is now playing shortr stop for tho Pirates and is delighting Pittsburg fans by his great work at that difficult position. Boone was with the Toledo club of tho American association when the association sus pended operations for the duration of the war. A few days later he drifted into Pittsburg and asked Hugo Bez-dole Bez-dole for a job, and the Pirate leader ; decided to try him at the short field I As a Yankee, Boone was kept at sec-j sec-j ond base because it was believed his arm wasn't strong enough to stand tho strain of the long throw from tho 'short field to first 'base, but he seems to havo recovered from the ailment ! to his whip, and can now make thai throw with almost any shortstop in , the league.
