Olson, 1112 Twenty-second street, Friday afternoon, af-ternoon, March 30, All officers and a large number of tho members wore present and tho meeting was called to order by the president, Mary Brown. It was resolved that the Thimble club of tho W. R. C. hereafter hereaf-ter would bo known as the Social club of tho W. R. C. Cards were tho entertainment for the afternoonfl favors fa-vors being awarded to Mcsdamos Michaels, Mi-chaels, Mignault, and Mitchell, and to Mrs. Frey and Mr. Olcson. The rooms wore decorated with potted plants. Mrs. Olcson was assisted in serving refreshments by Mrs. Ingebretsen, Mrs. Kerr and Mrs. Maryette Griffin. BIRTHDAY AND WEDDING ANNIVERSARY PARTY. A pleasant birthday party was given in honor of Mrs. Henry Myers Friday Fri-day afternoon at their home, 507 Douglas Doug-las street, the day also being Mr. and Mrs. Myers' wedding anniversary. The afternoon was spent in playing cards. Prizes were given Mrs. O. Lund, Mrs. Weaver and Mrs. Thor-sted. Thor-sted. Mrs. Myers received many beautiful presents. A delightful lunch was served by Mrs. Myers and the tablo was decorated decor-ated with carnations and ferns. Those present were: Mrs. Yerger, Mrs. O. Lund, Mr. D. Stewart, Mrs. N. Bover. Mrs. E. Stewart, Mrs, J. Larson, Lar-son, Mrs. O. Thorsted, Mrs. W. Carlson, Carl-son, Mrs. J. Price, Mrs. T. Shortz, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Myers. Mrs. .Sophia Christianson, Miss Ellen Christianson, Mrs. E. Bentrod and Mr. A. L. Weaver Weav-er from Salt Lake City. SURPRISE PARTY. Mrs. Henry Myers was the recipient of a delightful surprise party last evening at her home, when a number of her friends and neighbors gathered for an evening of pleasure. FAREWELL PARTY Ono of tho most entertaining events of the past week was the farewell party tendered Mr. and Mrs. L. Smlt-ley, Smlt-ley, who will leave shortly to make their future home in Los Angeles. The ladies' auxiliary to the O. R. C. and several guests were present. Tho affair af-fair was held at the homo of Mr. and Mrs. William Wilson, 120 West Thirtieth Thir-tieth street. DAN CUPID BUSY. They were Ervin M. Ford, 24, a popular musician, formerly in the Alhambra orchestra and now at the Orpheum, residing at 117 Poplar avenue, ave-nue, and Miss Lora M. Lehman, ono of Idaho's most charming young daughters, formerly of Burley, who is a guest of Mr. and Mrs. H. Edgar Skinner, 2509 Adams avenue. Deputy Clerk Alex Fife, first lieutenant lieu-tenant of the marshal of love, took his time preparing the license document, docu-ment, softly jollying and congratulat. ing the happy applicants "And may you both live long and prosper," was his parting word, which was echoed throughout the clerk's department. AT BERTHANA The Knights of Columbus, Ogden council No 777, have issued invitations I to their annual Easter ball, to be giv-j en in the Berthana next Monday night, April 9. The event will be one of the most entertaining of the season's , parties at the Berthana, Miss Lillian j Thatcher's orchestra will play. ! nn ! HOME CULTURE CLUB. Thursday afternoon, March 29, Mrs O. A. Parmley entertained the ladies , of the Home Culture club at her home, 730 Twenty-fifth street. A delightful program was carried out, opening with Mrs. Hobbs' review of "A Woman in China," by Gaunt. The book, "My Lady of the Chinese Courtyard," by Cooper, was reviewed by Mrs. Barber, after which an open discussion was held on the present conditions in China. Chi-na. The discussion was led by Mrs. Dr. E. P. Mills. During tho social hour the hostess served luncheon. G. I. A. CLUB. Mrs. A. E Highan entertained members mem-bers of tho G. I. A. club last Tuesday Tues-day afternoon. The next meeting; of the club will be held at the home of Mrs. R. E. Francis, 263 Thirtieth street, on April G. ' 1916 500 CLUB. The Cradle Roll of the Presbyterian I church gave a very attractive spring I social on Wednesday last. The enter- , tainment for tho mothers and babes I was charmingly planned and the rooms were filled with a happy throng. After the serving of delicious refreshments I the afternoon was enjoyed in a pro- I gram of Easter games. Mrs. Angus I Kennedy, Mrs. Craven, Robert Nye, Watson and Ashton wore hostesses. SPRING BAZAAR. Tho Spring Bazaar given by the women of the First Presbyterian church will be held tomorrow. There j will bo booths for fine linens, booths I for fine hand-made underwear, general gen-eral needlework booths and a candy booth. A supper will be served Tuesday Tues-day from 5:30 to 8. Musical selections will be given during the evening. DELIGHTFUL MEETING. Company B of tho Daughters of Pioneers met last Thursday with Mrs. Chris Flygare as hostess. The Federated W. C. T. U. will meet Wednesday at 2:30 o'clock in the Presbyterian Pres-byterian church with Miss Jennie Prout and Mrs. Ida Brown in charge of tho program. Tho following- ladies will bo hostesses: Mrs. A. Y. Richmond, Rich-mond, Mrs B F. Thomas, Mrs. Ed. Goodale, Mrs. Clara Hadlock. MEET APRIL 12. St. Joseph's Sowing society will meet Thursday, April 12, with Mrs. James Konny as hostess instead of tho coming Thursday. DENVER GUESTS ENTERTAINED. The Misses La Von and Lucille Harrington were entertained at a dancing party Friday evening by Miss Fawn Carver at her home, the Carver apartments. The evening was spent in games and dancing, after which a dainty luncheon was served. Tho Misses Harrington with their parents are here from Denver, visiting visit-ing with relatives, and will return lo their home the first of the week.
