Show IIITOY coll TO BE COMPOSED OF mis Utah's first volunteer infantry company, com-pany, composed exclusively of veterans veter-ans who have seen war service of some kind, soon will be ready to be offered to the war department. The company will have a full complement com-plement of officers, including many men qualified by experience to drill and organize companies for regimental regiment-al development. 4 All men who have seen wfcr service, ser-vice, who are less than forty-fiveyears old, are requested by Past Commander Richard A. Norris to report for enrollment en-rollment at the armory. If he is not there, the application will be received by Lieutenant Wilfong, who is recruiting recruit-ing for the army, or by someone representing rep-resenting the Spanish war veterans. "We want this company of veterans," veter-ans," said Mr. Norris, "to be the first offered for active service. Promotion probably will be rapid, because the visible supply of trained soldiers who can qualify for commissions is limited and there are unexampled opportunities opportuni-ties for advancement. The activity of the veterans in war service will win high honors for some of thorn and there will be rare chances for all." Mr. Norris advised that all Spanish war veterans who fail to reach the rendezvous at the navy recruiting station, sta-tion, for the parade, at 6:30 o'clock this evening, should fall into line at Twenty-seventh and Washington. oo |
