Show j Garland Society Special to the Ogden Standard. GARLAND, SepL 8. The Bear River stake quarterly conference was held last Sunday at the Garland tabernacle. taber-nacle. Elder Joseph h: Smith, Jr., and Hyrum Smith of Salt Lako City were presont. Tho Primrose swarm of the Beehive girls met at tho home of Miss Clyta Henrie on Tuesday. Ten members wero present. After the usual program pro-gram refreshments were served. Tho Wheat swarm of tho Beehive girls returned homo Tuesday ovening after a three days' outing to Bigler's Grove. They were accompanied by Mrs. Thomas E. King and Mrs. M. Stokes. Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Andrus entertained enter-tained at a social Tuesday evening in-honor in-honor of the officers of tho Sunday school stake board. Games wero played and delicious refreshments were served. Mrs. Joseph Jensen entertained the children at the story hour one day thl3 week. Mrs. T. H. Edwards and daughter Hazel left for Salt Lake "Wednesday and returned home in tho evening. They were accompanied by Miss Vera Edwards. Miss Alta Valentine and Mr. Ray Barnard wero married in Salt Lake Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reeves of Brigham were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reeves early in the week. A. R. Capener spent a fow days this week in Waukegan with his son Dean Capener. Joseph Jensen spent a few days of this week in St. Anthony, Ida. David Woods of Fielding was a visitor vis-itor in Garland ycBtorday. Leon Bush took a party of his friends to Brigham City and Ogden in his father's car for a couple of days. Two auto loads of farmers from Weber county spent ono day this week In Garland as tho guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hunter. Mr. and Mrs. Hurst of Logan were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reeves Wednesday, returning Thursday. Thurs-day. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Times of Ogden Og-den are spending part of the week with Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Times. R. H. Francis and family have returned re-turned home from a visit with friends at Twin Falls. Mrs. John Carter and Mrs. Don Snow of Salt Lake were gueBts of Mrs. Charles Munors early in tho week. Miss Annio Jarvis of Salt Lake is visiting here this week. Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Wright "and children chil-dren of Rldgedale, Ida., visited with Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Swinyard thlB week. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Cunningham has returned home from a trip to Ogden, Og-den, where they visited relatives for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Grover and children chil-dren spent the first of the week in Salt Lako, returning Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. F. Harris of Logan are guests of Mr. and- Mrs. Geonre B. Hughes. Mr. and Mrs. J. H.
