On Wednesday and at tho home of Mrs. Arnold Bowman, tho club held its first fall meeting with Mrs. Eccles presiding. pre-siding. Mrs. Ezra Rich had charge of the program and read an excellent paper on "Woman's Place In the War-faring War-faring Nations." Mrs. Douglas Watson road a splendid paper on "Food Conservation Con-servation in Ogden." Mrs. R. B. Porter Por-ter reported on the matters pertaining to the Rod Cross chapter, tho different linos of work boing accomplished, Btat-lng Btat-lng that Ogden is in the lead with other oth-er large cities of America, giving more than its quota in membership. Then followed a disoussion and two articles wore read by Miss Gladys Rich on "Increasing "In-creasing Demand for Women to Qualify Qual-ify In Taking Places of Mon," and "Food Fight," clippings from leading magazines. After the conclusion of this instructive program the ladles motored mo-tored to Kerns where they were refreshed. re-freshed. The next meeting will be held Septembr 19 with Mrs. Lillian Bagley. |
