WASHINGTON, Sept 8 Charges by the Commercial Club of Duluth that rail and lako class 'and commodity rates to Duluth from all points in the west and middle west aro unjust and unreasonable and discriminate against Duluth and vicinity to the advantage of Chicago, St. Paul and Minneapolis, wero not sustained by tho interstate commorce commission in a finding made public today. Rates from certain specific points in Ohio and east of the Indiana-Illinois line, however, wore found to be unduly un-duly prejudicial to Duluth and preferential prefer-ential to Chicago. Readjustment was ordered. Tho commission also ordered the railroads to place in effect differentials differ-entials of from -1 to 15 cents, between tho Minneapolis and Duluth rate from certain points in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa, effective December 1 next. |
