Show oo E.LWILLE UNDER ARREST IN IDAHO SALT LAKE. June 30. E. L, Wille, former manager of the Wilson grill, is said to have been arrested yesterday in Idaho Falls, Ida., on a charge of embezzlement. It Is understood that the Wilson hotel management preferred prefer-red the charges. Deputy Sheriff Joseph Jos-eph Raleigh left here yesterday to bring Wille back to face the charges. charg-es. Wille left Salt Lake Thursday morning morn-ing in his automobile. Accorapaning him were his piano player, Knowlton. and another person. Knowlton had been employed in the Wilson grill for a long time when Wille was manager. Wille's discharge from the Wilson grill was recently chronicled in the Herald-Republican. Immediately after he had been removed, he went about town looking for Isadoro McGillis. whom he blamed for his discharge. McGillis, it iB said, went to the proprietors pro-prietors of the Wilson and told them that for months he had been paying Wille $30 a month for the hat rack privilege, and it is alleged that Wille had turned none of this money over to the owners of the Wilson. Shortly after McGillis made his revelation rev-elation Wille was called into the office of B. B. Ramey and told that he would be succeeded by Mr. Leavitt of Kansas Kan-sas City, who is now in charge of the place. Manager Ramey of the Wilson hotel company is understood to have sworn to the complaint late yesterday afternoon. after-noon. It is said the sum alleged to lave been embezzled was between ?500 and ?1,000. |
