Show j CHARMING OGDEN GIE WHO BECAME j LJjMDE OF ALBERT SQUIRES THIS WEEK j Last week was made noteworthy by a number of marriages in society, among them th.it of Miss Erma Alberta Al-berta Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. T. Moore of Orchard avenue, whose wedding to Albert M. Squires of Brigham City at half after seven Wednesday evening, was ono of the most beautiful of home affairs. One hundred and fifty guests wore .present .pres-ent and Mayor Abbot R. Heywood performed per-formed the ceromonv, immediately followed fol-lowed by a reception. , The bride was given in marriago by ' Lovely white peonies arranged in ar- Ustic manner with roses and forns graced tho rooms of tho' Moore home. Tho stairway was entwined with plu-mosa plu-mosa and white chiffon and streamers of chiffon formed an aisle from the foot of the stairs to the drawing room where large bluebird baskets tilled with white peonies and small baskets in pink and white formed a fitting background for the bridal party. Baskets Bas-kets of roses and peonies, California palms in jardinieres, tall gladioli in vases were placed about tho rooms and mado this ono of tho most at- tractive June weddings An umbrella basket of pink roses, lilacs and maidenhair maid-enhair fern was the central motif for the dining table and from the chandelier chande-lier pink chiffon streamers radiated to the corners and were held by bows of pink tulle and a single peony. As the bridal party descended the stairway and proceeded to the drawing . room, Mr Clifford Kay, pianist, Mr I Harold Pettigrew, violinist, and Mr. I Lee with the clarinet, rendered a pretty pret-ty wedding march. The brido was tho cynosure of all eyes and was beautiful in a gown of white duchess satin with trimmings of pearl and the long decollate decol-late net bridal veil fell in graceful folds to the edge of the court train. The veil was confined to the head with a wealth of orange blossoms. She carried a bridal bouquet of lilies of the valley, sweet peas and roses. The maid of honor. Miss Vera Cheshire, wore a frock of pale blush taffeta trimmed with silver lace and chic hows of pink maline crowned the coiffeur coif-feur while in her hand she carried a Wilson basket of Cecil Breuner roses. The little misses who acted as ribbon bearers and flower maidens wore I white tulle dresses and on their heads : were tied full bows of white tulle and in their hands were tiny fans. The brido's mother wore a gown of laven-il.ir laven-il.ir georgette crepe with black trimmings. trim-mings. Following the ceremony the many I guests present wore entertained thioughout the home and about the J lawn which was decorated with Japanese Jap-anese lanterns and vari-colorcd lights. Punch was served on the lawn and I the booth was piesided over by Miss , Stella Cheshire. Those assisting Miss Myrtle Shields, Miss Cora Smith, Miss Gladys Livingston while Mrs. Gcorgo Weideman assisted the bridal party in leceiving the guests. Mr. and Mrs. Squires left for a Hit-tie Hit-tie journey to the northwest and upon Ihcir return will take up residence in Brigham City where the groom is the cashier of tho Brigham City sugar fac-toiy fac-toiy and where in tho hearts of the people he holds an honored place. Out of town guests were Mr andi Mrs. Lawrence Moore of Twin Falls, i brother of the bride; Mr. and Mfs. J. Hall Moore and Dr Squires of Salt Lake. A pleasing part ofthe evening's enjoyment was tho music by Mr. Kay and Mrs. Harold J. Moore. |
