Minor leagues H forced to suspend before the close of H the regular season will not lose their player or territorial rights, accord- H ing to a ruling of thegoverning board H of the National Association of Profes- H sional Baseball Leagues received by H President Tearncy of the Three I H league last night. H: The ruling was Issued by John H. H Farrell, secretary of the National as- H! sociatlon, as a result of an appeal H; from President Tearney, who believes H some of the smaller leagues will not H; survive the season owing to the war H situation and continued unfavorable H leather. H The board ruled, however, that play- Hc rs will bo permitted to seek employ- H ment wherever possible for the re- H matnder of the season, but must report l next spring to the club holding their Hi contracts this season. The board also H ruled that leagues desiring to suspend l shall fix a date for closing and that H all players must be paid in full. H "It is the policy of tho national H board to help out league members in H view of conditions that have not exist- H ed for fifty years and ihe unusual fin- M ancial sacrifices already made," the i statement said.
