Balking Town Fathers To prevent city officials using the municipal-owned motor cars for purely pure-ly pleasuro purposes, a Springfield (Mass.) councilman has suggested that the city's automobiles be painted red, white and blue, and that any one using us-ing such a painted car after business hours be arrested. I am afraid the councilman's remedy has moro Star Spangled Banner merits than it has possibilities of any other kind, but it sure would make unobtruslveness on the part of the illegal users rather difficult dif-ficult of attainment.
