Show his eiesoN is CALLED BY DEATH Thomas Gibson, a pioneer of Weber county, died at 6:10 a m. today at the family residence in Taylor, of uremia. ure-mia. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Thomas B , James F.. Joseph R., George H and Mary Gibson and Mrs. Chrlstinla Nelson of Taylor, Wheat-ley Wheat-ley Gibson of Ogden and John Gibson of W est Ogden He Is also survhed by 18 grandchildren and the following brothers, Jacob Gibson of Taylor; Ralph Gibson Gib-son of Warren and John B Gibson of Heber City, Utah, and Joseph P. Gibson Gib-son of Rcxburg Idaho ' Mr Gibson was born in Ebchester, Durham, England. May 22 1847, the son of John and Mary Ann Blench Gibson, and emigrated to the United I States when a young man, as a Mormon Mor-mon convert. He crossed the plains I to Utah in 1860 with the Daniel Rob Inson handcart company. For a short time he made his home in Ogden. Og-den. but moved to West Weber now I Taylor In 1861, being one of the first settlers of that community. On November 11, 1871, his marriage I to Katherine F. Hunter was Bolemn-Mzed Bolemn-Mzed and virtually his entire life in Utah was passed a6 au active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a worthy citizen of Weber county. The funeral will be held in the Tay-J Tay-J lor ward meeting house at 12 o'clock ! noon on Thursday with Bishop W ' H Jardlne presiding and interment will be In the West Weber meeting house. The body may be viewed at the residence in Taylor tomorrow afternoon aft-ernoon and evening and Thursday un-,111 un-,111 the funeral hour. |
