Show TOWNS VOTE ON LIQUOR ISSUE Illinois Prohibition Leaders Confident of Adding Four Counties to Dry Column. Chicago, April 20. Twenty-two towns and villages ln Illinois today voted on the question of abolishing saloons. Close to 150 saloons are Involved In-volved In the Issue. Prohibition leaders were confident that women will prove an Important factor ln the balloting and that at least four counties will be added to the dry column. When the women exercised the franchise a year ago, 1000 saloons were wiped out and 150 were abolished at the olectlon on April 6 The principal towns voting today are Ottawa, Dixon. Bcardstown, Cass, Morris, Gardner and Jollet |
