Show DAUGHTERS OF PIONEERS. Daughter of the Board Mrs. Edna Ellis met with Company G, at the home of Daughter Tillie Farr. The program was opened by Daughter Mary Heller, by reading from the Book of Mormon, after which dainty refreshments were served during the social hour. Daughter Sadie West met with Company E, at the home of Mrs. T. Flinders. A biographical sketch was read by Mrs. McGregor, on the life of Mrs. Gladys A. Miller, mother of Mrs. Minnie Jensen, which wao very much enjoyed. Daughter Harriett Taylor sang two songs, entitled, "There Is No One Like Mother," and "The Songs My Mother Used to Sing." There was also a duet sung by Mrs. Taylor and her sister, Mrs. Mary Noble, entitled, "The Convict's Con-vict's Dream." The meeting adjourned to meet with Mrs. Thomas- next month. The hostess served refreshments during the social hour. I Company B met with Mrs. Jessie Draper. Reading by Annie Middleton,! "Mother Heart of Gold." Talk by Pioneer Charles Wotherston, S3 years old. He then selected a poem, "O, Why Should the Spirit of Mortal Be Proud." Solo by Delia Tracy accompanied by Julia Moyes. Violin and piano duet by Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Draper. Three boy scouts and Mr. Draper, who had gone over the old Mormon trail, served refreshments during the social hour. , |
