Show RUSSIANS IN A BAYONET FIGHT Petrograd, April 28, via London, 11 p. m. The official statement issued by the war office today says: Western (Russian) front: In the re gion of Ginbvka, west of Dvinsk, we made further advances. North of Lake Dreswiaty our artillery brought down an enemy aeroplane, which fell behind the enemy trenches. German airships threw thirty bombs in the region of the village of Ostrovky. northeast of Stolvtzy, killing some Austrian prisoners. In the river Stripa region, southwest south-west of Tarnopol, our troops approached, ap-proached, without being perceived, some Austrians working on a height east of Bogetkovtze and, after attack-, iiig them with the bayonet, seized' their trenches. Our soldiers in a' hand-to-hand fight killed many of the' Austrians and took prisoners an of-1 ficer and sixty-two men. They then! destroyed the enemy works. Later the enemy assumed the offensive of-fensive in the same district and was repulsed by our fire and counter-attacks and put to flight, abandoning, additional wounded and unwounded prisoners. Our total captures from the Austrians in this region are nine- tysix men, 100 rifles and other ma H Caucasus front: Southwest, of Er H zerum our detachments repelled a H Turkish force.
