Show ANNUAL ORATORICAL CONTEST TO 8E I FRIDAY The second annual contest between the orators of the Weber academy and the Ogden high school, for the Dr. Edward I. Rich prize of $50, will be staged in the tabernacle, Monday afternoon, April 10. It will begin at 3 o'clock and Is expected that the big auditorium will be filled to Its capacity ca-pacity with students and patrons of the two schools. Through the medium of elimination contests, the representatives of the two schools in Monday's contest have been selected and are said to be well prepared for the event. The final elimination contest at the high school was held yesterday afternoon and the victorious trio of orators is composed of Clifford Rassweller, Forest Car- hart and Mary Vogel, who won first,' second and third place, respectively. The Weber academy contestants, who were chosen several days ago, are Ben Young, Douglass Leishman and Louis Scoville. |
