OLD TIME PARTY PLANNED. February 23 in the Royal Dancing Academy tho local Veteran Firemen will give an "old time ball". Old time dances will be the vogue and ajolly time is anticipated. The committee on arrangements will be: F. H. Whitehead, J. R. Horspool, J. R. Paine, John Austin and J. W. Browning. HIGH FIVE CLUB. . The Leap Year High Five club met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Hol-den, Hol-den, 2908 Grant avenue, Saturday evening, ev-ening, February 5. Those present were : Mr. and Mrs. Golden, Mrs. Power, Anna Turner, Vilate Harris, Opal Harris, Har-ris, Kate Brummell, Mary Crawford, Mr. and Mrs. Green, Mr. and Mrs. Newey, Nettie Turner, Mrs. Black, Mrs. Butterfleld. Luncheon was served by Mrs. Hold-en Hold-en assisted by Mrs. George Holden and daughter Anna, Those receiving honors were: Mrs. Butterfleld, Mrs. Brummell, Mr. Newey New-ey and Mr. Green. The next meeting will be held with Mrs. Vilate Harris, this evening. NEDGO CLUB. Mrs. Peter Brown, 3185 Grant avenue, ave-nue, was hostess to tho Nedgo card club Wednesday. Prizes being won by Mrs. H. K. Hoff, Mrs. W. B. Shipley Ship-ley and Mrs. J. Poorman. The club will meet with Mrs. H. K. Hoff In two weeks. CARD PARTY. The Royal Neighbors of America will entertain at a card party Monday evening, February 14 in the I. O. O. F hall. An extra program will be given. Everyone is invited. MARTHA SOCIETY. Mrs. Jos Scowcroft was hostess to the Martha Society ladles Monday, February 7, at her home. 533 Twenty-sixth Twenty-sixth street. Some business matters were discussed, after which a social hour was spent and refreshments served. PARCEL SHOWER. A number of friends were entertained entertain-ed at a parcel shower at the home of Mr and Mrs A. D. Rokos, 3203 Grant avenue Wednesday evening. The occasion was given in honor of Mr. Joseph Arrowsmith and Miss Ellen Wright .who are to be married during February. The rooms were very artistically decorated de-corated in red and white with many appropriate valentine designs. A ' dainty luncheon was served and a very enjoyable evening spent In games and" amusements including Beveral musical numbers by Mr. Douglas Brian Bri-an and Miss Hazel Lovedahl.
