At noon prices showed gains of four to eight points. Chicago Grain Chicago, Jan. 13. All deliveries of wheat rose today to tho highest prjees on the 1915 crop. Chances of severe damage by the cold wave ln tho winter win-ter wheat belt formed the chief cause of the advance after opening, 3-8 to 11 l-8c higher, tho market scored additional gains before beginning to rcuet. First prices for May were $1.28 3-8 to 1.29 and for July, $1.22 to 1.22 1-4. Corn sympathized with wheat. Opening Op-ening prices which ranged from 1-8 to 1-4 to 3-8c higher, were followed by a slight sag. Oats traders took their cue from the strength of other grain. Curtailment of hog receipts brought about an upturn in provisions. |
