General Jose Rodriguez has been captured j near Madeira, Chihuahua, by Ameri- . cans, according to reports received here. j A message received from Madeira stated that a number of Rodriguez' & men were killed and that the Amer- ; leans are calling for help. . He is an employe of the Hearst interests at jfl Eabrlcora and is now at Madeira I keeping order with about 125 Amer- Ifl icans and a few Carranza soldiers. The Americans heard that Rodriguez Rodri-guez and his men were burning bridges brid-ges below Madeira and called for help from Chihuahua and asked that troops be rushed there. Without waiting for the troops Marques Mar-ques attaoked the bridge burners with 125 men drawn from Americans and the garrison at Madeira. After the capture the call for help was repeated. repeat-ed.
