Show REIUIED ELDER IS SPEAKER 1 THE Tin Elder Ttay Summerill, who recently returned from a mission to the Eastern East-ern states, addressed a congregation yesterday evening in the Third ward meeting house. He reviewed his missionary mis-sionary experience in an able and interesting in-teresting manner and also bore testimony testi-mony of the divinity of the Mormon creed. "Mormon" doctrine, he said, is now being Incorporated Into the creeds of other churches, but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 1b not being given credit for being the first to advocate the principles " There are now 164 missionaries, among them twenty-one ladies, in the Eastern States mission, he stated further fur-ther and they are making fine progress prog-ress in their work. In .substantiation of the latter statement, Elder Summerill Sum-merill said that four times as many baptisms had been recorded In the first few months of this year as were recorded all of last year. The meeting was conducted by Elder Eld-er Ray Shurtllff and a solo, "I'm a Pilgrim," was contributed to the program pro-gram by Leland Newey. |
