Show The breast fed child rarely contracts con-tracts summer diseases unless tho mother is unusually uncleanly in her habits or very careless as to her own health, says Nurse. The mother's occupation oc-cupation and habits of life bear close relation to baby's welfare at all times. Especially during tho heated term should the nursing mother avoid overexertion, over-exertion, over-heating and all food likely to cause indigestion. Sho should spend much time in the open air and a daily bath and exercise should not be overlooked. Both before be-fore and after nursing she should bathe her nipples with clean water and borax, keeping them between feedings, covered with a clean cloth or otherwise protected from friction and soiling from her clothing. |
