Show 1ESI OEDEIIIES WIN FROM BOWLERS 8T05 v Tho A. L. Glasmann Bowlers of I tho City Baseball league took a trip to West Ogdcn yesterday ostensibly to trim tho West Ogden team of the County league. But WcBt Ogden did tho t rimming. The two teams being about evenly matched, a fine exhibition was witnessed by about 300 ardent supporters sup-porters of both teams. Ono feature of the game was tho almost air-tight pitching of Arnold Staker, on tho mound for West Ogden. Stowart for the Bowlers pitched a flue game for flvo innings, when the terrific heat began to tell, and ho retired in favor of Flitton, who was not able to hold the West Side boys in check. Umpire Nate Coffin had tho time of his life explaining the difference between be-tween baseball and wind-Jamming, but won out in all Instances, and hold the job down for the nine Innings. Abe Glasmann blames tho defeat of the Bowlers to the rooting of West Og- l don's pretty girls for the homo team. Ho says no ball team in the county can win against West Ogdcn and and their fair rooters, especially when Al Sneed Is there to back 'em up. The West Ogdeniles, no doubt, have the best team In the county, and ire barring no amateur aggregation that is looking for a dato. They would like to trim the balance of the City league, though, before the season sea-son closes.
