Show UNIDENTIFIED MAN FALLS FROM CAR Salt Lake, Aug. 30. An unidentified unidenti-fied man about 25 years of age died at the L D. S. hospital at 11:10 last night of injuries suffered when he fell from the rods of train No. 19, southbound on tho Salt Lake Route, near Delta, Saturday afternoon. Tho man was picked up unconscious beside the roadbed and cared for by Millard county. Several bad lacerations lacera-tions on his scalp were dressed by Dr. C A. Broaddus of Hinckloy and he was brought to this city yesterday. He never regained consciousness. There waB nothing In the man's clothing that would positively reveal his identity. The body was removed to the undertaking establishment of Joseph William Taylor and an effort Is to bo made to locate relatives. The man was about 5 feet 9 inches In height, of sandy complexion, and was I dressed in a brown coat, blue flannel shirt and overalls. Ills weight was about ICO pounds. Iu his pockets were found money to tho amount of '1 and some odd cents, a cheap, faded tintype of himself, him-self, work pass No. 92-1424 of the Los Angeles Hallway company and a money order receipt made out in Salt Lake January 9, 1912, the serial number num-ber being 4G92G4. Tho accident occurred about one mile north of Delta, a woman living near the right of way noticed a man riding the rods of No. 19 and waved to him lie responded and stuck his head from beneath tho body of the coach under which he was riding. Immediately Im-mediately his head struck n cattle guard and he lost his balance, but one foot caught in the rods of the car and he was dragged some fifty feet, his head and shoulders bumping the tics outside the rail. A ditch rider found the body and summoned help. " . |
