Show Chicago Grain Chicago, Sept. 8. Wheat prices took an upward turn today in response re-sponse to a falling off In receipts hero and in tho northwest. A good deal of covering by shorts resulted also from efforts to even trades so as to be prepared for an expected bullish crop report from Washington. Besides Be-sides crop advices which ranged from l-4c to 1 l-2c higher, with September at 93 1-2 to 94, and December at 90 1-2 to 91 l-8c, were followed by a slight reaction and then a fresh advance. Corn roso with wheaL The market mar-ket was also affected by the Iowa state report showing 8 points loss in the crop condition during August. After Af-ter opening unchanged to 3-8c off, prices scored a moderate general advance. wet woainer gavo iirmness to oats. Trado, however, was not largo. Provisions felt the Influence of unsettled un-settled quotations for hogs. The market was nervous within a narrow Tange, The wheat close was firm, 7-8ls to 1 3-8c net higher, with Septomber at 93 7-8c and December at 91 1-S 1-4 c.
