Show BOY DRESSED AS A GIRL ESCAPED Acting Superintendent of the State Industrial School E M. Rowe returned re-turned to Ogden this afternoon with Level Hale, the 12- ear-old negro boy, who escaped from the school in the company of his mother last Sunday The lad w as found concealed in a small shack in the western part of Salt Lake, where he was being shield I ed by a man named Jack Wilson. Mr Rowe states that the mother took tho boy away from the school and that he beat his way to Salt Lake on a freight train, she riding over the Bamberger road. She had Wilson take the boy to Garfield and dress him in girl's clothing to conceal con-ceal his identity Wilson was charged with the offense of-fense of contributing to the delinquency delin-quency of the child and he pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to ninety days In the county jail ThS mother will be gncn a bearing In the Salt Lake courts Monday morning. |
